I went skeptical and left very content: 1) First, Anthony Hopkins does a fantastic job 2) It is not like other exorcist movies, because the focus is not on scaring you but journeying with the seminary student who is losing his faith 3) There are no "heroes" but normal human beings, all of whom have "demons" that battle against their better angels 4) The movie is not shallow but has substance, if you pay attention to the conversations and the details of past hurts, sorrows, etc. 5) The overall theme is that we are all capable of being healed and set free from our demons if we find God and trust Him. If you need cheap thrills, you probably won't like the movie. If you go deeper to understand the movie, you will walk out pondering the very deep questions of life.

The Rite offers an experience that is unique and unmatched. I just saw it last night and story line was realistic and gave us a glimpse into the darkness that truly exist in the world. Anthony Hopkins gave one of his best performances. This could easily be one of the best movies of the year..... With a story filled with a sprinkle of horror and well balanced suspense. You will leave satisfied like we did. Enjoy!

I say it was very well done , Anthony Hopkins at his best. Can you say" Oscar" ?. the movie took all the elements of the many years trying to top the Excorsist original, this one is along those lines of coming close. They say you can't please everyone, I say i was pleased. Go see it. It can't be any worse than paying 20 bucks to see Jennifer Aniston try to find love in yet another chick flick.

This was a great movie. Its story held its ground. Must see for those that don't believe in the power of God. Its a great eye opener.
